This morning, I am appreciative of the ice and the wisdom of my daughter's school. They're opening two hours late today, so I am currently sitting in my very very quiet house catching up on email and other amusements. Everyone else is asleep; the light is nice and subdued. It's blissful.

The tree is up and decorated, so I spent a few moment curled up on the couch watching the lights twinkle. It's a beautiful one this year. Now, we normally have very pretty Christmas trees, but the one this year is exceptional. It's also taking up a quarter of the living room and is the first tree we've had in a while that comfortably holds all of our ornaments.

Now I think I'll do a little more reading and then go wake up my family so we can start the day. Safe travels today everyone.
